BTS’s Jungkook accomplished
more than one historic achievement on the Billboard charts this week.
On
October 14, For the week ending Jungkook’s new solo single “3D” (featuring Jack
Harlow) debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This song ranks the most
popular songs in the United States, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song
Sales chart too.
Jungkook
the youngest member of popular Korean boy band BTS has now become the first
Korean soloist in history to debut multiple songs in the top 10 of the Hot 100.
And his previous single, “Seven” (featuring Latto), debuted at No. 1
on the chart in July.
His
song “3D” also debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard’s Global 200 and Global
Excl. U.S. chart this week. It makes him the first Korean soloist ever to
top both charts with more than one song.
His
song “Seven” previously topped the Global 200 for a record-breaking seven
weeks, while “3D” topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart for nine consecutive
weeks.
And
Jungkook re-entered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 15. It is marking
his ninth overall week on the chart.
