Oricon officially announced that TXT’s new album “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” had debuted at No. 1 on its latest weekly album chart, on October 17. In spite of having been released just four days prior. It means that the album managed to top the chart even without a full tracking week of sales.

According to Oricon, TXT is the only artist to have topped its weekly chart with three different albums in the year 2023. Beforehand “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL,” The group earlier entered the weekly album chart at No. 1 with their Korean mini album “The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION” and their Japanese album “SWEET” earlier this year.

Moreover, TXT has become the first foreign artist in history to top Oricon’s weekly album chart with nine consecutive albums. Expanding a record-breaking streak of No. 1 albums that began in 2020. To this day, no other foreign artist from any country has topped the chart with more than six consecutive albums. TXT is the first group who did.

In the meantime, “The Name Chapter: FREEFALL” has already sold over 2 million copies according to Hanteo Chart data.
