to set records on the Billboard charts!
On
November 7, Billboard revealed that Jungkook’s hit song “3D” had successfully continued
on its Hot 100 chart, which ranks the most popular songs in the United States,
for a fifth consecutive week. For the week ending on November 11, “3D” which debuted at
No. 5 last month ranked No. 100.
Jungkook
is now became the first Korean solo singer ever to chart three different songs
for five weeks each on the Hot 100. “3D” is Jungkook’s third solo song to spend
five weeks on the Hot 100, following his song “Left and Right” which was collab
with Charlie Puth (which charted for 17 weeks) and his official solo debut
single “Seven” featuring Latto (which charted for 13-week earlier this year).
In
the meantime, after debuting at No. 44 last week, Jungkook’s new
collab single with The Kid LAROI and Central Cee “Too Much” spent its second
consecutive week on the Hot 100 at No. 93.
Jungkook
of BTS has also become the first K-pop soloist ever to spend 12 weeks on
Billboard’s Artist 100, where he ranked No. 100 this week.
And
now, over on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart (which measures weekly
plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations across the United States), “Too Much”
rose up to No. 22 in its second week on the chart, while “3D” held steady at
No. 24 in its fifth week.
Remarkably,
Jungkook is the first K-pop artist in history to top Spotify’s global chart
with three different songs. With this achievement, he has now surpassed his own
group BTS and BLACKPINK, both of whom have two No. 1 songs each to become
the K-pop artist with the most No. 1 songs to date on Spotify’s Global Top
Songs chart.
